Swim Lessons

Jordyn has had swim lessons twice a week for the last 10 weeks. She has done really well in her lessons. After week 8 her instructor changed. Her new instructor is so sweet and she really likes Jenna. We tried to sign Jenna up for lessons as well but the child has to be at least three years of age. Haylee, the instructor, noticed that Jenna was extremely whinny during the class, because she wanted to participate. After Jordyns last class Haylee told us if Jenna had a bathing suit she could where it to the next class and sit with her feet in the water. Due to the fact that Jenna listened so well and loves the water Haylee now treats Jenna as part of the class and Jenna now gets to get in the water and swim with sissy. Jeff and I are so thankful to Haylee for making class now very easy on us. As a thank you we got her a gift certificate to Starbucks.

Longview Fire Station

This week is Fire Safety Week. Jordyn took a field trip to the Longview Fire Station, Jenna went too. Jordyns favorite part of the field trip was the STOP, DROP, and ROLL. After going through the different stations the girls got juice and cookies.

The Portland Zoo

Grammy and Aunt Ce-Ce came to visit us this week. It was good to see them this week, poor Aunt Cece was only able to stay for 3 days because of her work. We made sure to cram a lot in that weekend. Our first stop was IKEA Portland. Monday morning before taking Aunt Cece to the airport we decided to go to the Portland Zoo. About 5 weeks ago a baby Elephant was born at the zoo. The elephant was so adorable, even though Jordyn said he was ugly. Our trip to the zoo was very exciting. We saw almost all the animals, the black bears exhibit was closed for cleaning. Almost all the animals were awake and active, except for the chetah but he was asleep right in front of the glass. The Polar exhibit was a little sad. One of the Polar bears was fine and healthy, but one had surgery less than a week ago and had a huge bald spot on his side, it was a little weird. The third and final Polar bear that the zoo has died less than one month ago. One of the cutest things in the zoo was they had a wall of the different bears so you could see how tall you compare to a bear. Jenna got really into it she was even growling. 

Jennas big girl bed

Okay so when we bought Jennas crib we bought one that went for crib to day bed to twin bed. Now after two and a half years we have decided that its not working for us. We took Jenna bed shopping and I think the girl has very cute taste. It was a family affair putting this bed together. A couple weeks ago Jeff showed Jordyn how to use power tools and the difference between a flathead and a phillips. Now when we walk through stores Jordyn likes to walk though and point out all the different screws. Jordyn was very happy to help and put the bed together. Jenna was pretty cute two taking pieces to her big sister.
